Faktoje, supported by the National Endowment for Democracy (NED) is implementing the project for promoting the accountability of high public officials in 10 municipalities of Albania. The team of Faktoje, in close collaboration with journalists and activists of the civil society will fact-check 40 promises and statements of the mayors.
The team of Faktoje, in close collaboration with journalists, activists of the civil society, and representatives of the local government will analyze and fact-check the promises of mayors, and how these promises stand in relation to the budget or decisions made in Municipal Councils.
"Faktoje" is a non-political, transparent and independent organization. The selection for "fact-check" of the statements and promises of politicians, public officials and entities that benefit from public funds is based on the impact they have on the lives of citizens.
