Verdict: False

On social media, including Albanian-speaking platforms, several photos are circulating that claim to show pro-Russian protests held in March 2025 across Europe.

Nevertheless, through the Google Lens image search tool, Faktoje discovered that this claim is false.

The first photo on the left was taken in March 2022 in Belgrade, when approximately a thousand pro-Russian demonstrators gathered in the streets to express their support for the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

The middle photo was taken on April 10, 2022, during a protest held under the slogan ‘Against the provocation and discrimination of Russian-speaking citizens/Against the war. For peace’ in Frankfurt, Germany.

The photo on the right was taken in Moscow in July 2019. It depicts a protest that gathered over 20,000 Russian citizens who were demanding free and fair elections in Russia.

The protesters were urging that opposition candidates be allowed to register for the September 2019 elections. Russian authorities had refused to register them, even though each candidate had gathered the required minimum of 5,000 signatures to qualify. Anti-government activists against President Putin’s regime stated that the authorities had unfairly invalidated the supporters’ signatures. About 30 candidates were prevented from running.
