These children images gazing at bombings in Gaza are AI-Generated

Several images circulating online purportedly show Palestinian children gazing at explosions in Gaza. Faktoje’s verification revealed that these images are generated by Artificial Intelligence (AI) software.

While bombings in Gaza are entering their fifth week, a number or unverified images are circulating on social media claiming to show the reality in the Gaza Strip.

Among them, Faktoje came across two images  which seem to show silhouettes of two children looking at explosions in the middle of rubbles.

Given that, even to the naked eye, these images look more like paintings than pictures of a war zone, Faktoje decided to verify their authenticity.

Using AI or Not software, Faktoje discovered that images above were generated by Artificial Intelligence software (AI).

Moreover, using Google Reverse Image Search engine, Faktoje discovered that the second image was originally posted in Twitter  by GDH Turkish Media. The image was captioned “Picture of life in Gaza drawn by Artificial Intelligence”.
